Brian J. Tusa

Managing Director

Brian Tusa oversees the development and acquisition activities for Trinsic Residential. His primary duties are to oversee the investment and growth strategy for the company.

With over sixteen years of experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Tusa was most recently involved in over $1.1 billion in development, acquisition and financing of institutional quality multi-family properties. Prior to joining Trinsic, Mr. Tusa was the Managing Director for Alliance Residential overseeing the development and acquisition for North Texas. He also served as the Portfolio Manager for Alliance Residential Fund I, a $200 million multi-family investment fund, from 2008 – 2010. Prior to joining Alliance Residential, Mr. Tusa worked for The Archon Group where he was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of all multi-family properties for the Eastern region.

Mr. Tusa holds a BS in Accounting from Boston College and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he was a licensed CPA.

S. Joseph Barrett

Managing Director


Joe Barrett serves as Chief Operating Officer of Trinsic Residential Group and oversees operations, asset management and assists in sourcing new business opportunities.

Mr. Barrett has spent over 25 years in the real estate industry and has been involved in every facet of multi-family development activity. His transactional experience includes the development of over 5,000 apartment units and $500 million of equity and permanent debt financing, construction loans and asset sales. Prior to joining Trinsic, Mr. Barrett served as the COO of Commercial Real Estate Investments for Archon Group, a Goldman Sachs company, Managing Partner of North American Properties, and its predecessor, Ewing Properties, and Chief Financial Officer of Lincoln Property Company.

Mr. Barrett holds a BA in Economics from Austin College and MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Adam N. Brown

Managing Director

North Texas


Adam Brown oversees the development and acquisition activities in the North Texas markets. His primary duties are to source and negotiate the purchase of multi-family sites, manage the development and construction process, and acquire existing communities for rehabilitation.

Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, Mr. Brown was with Greystar Real Estate Partners and Alliance Residential Company in similar capacities and has processed over 4,000 units with a total market capitalization in excess of $400 million.

Mr. Brown received a BBA in Finance and Real Estate from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Land Development from Texas A&M University. He also holds a Texas Real Estate Broker License and is an active member of The Real Estate Council.

Timothy Welsh

Vice President of Construction


Tim Welsh is responsible for Trinsic Residential Group's general contracting activities, and leads a team of highly qualified and experienced project managers, superintendents and related staff.

Prior to joining Trinsic Residential, Mr. Welsh was the Vice President of Development & Operations for Centex Destination Properties and Terra Mesa Development, who were engaged in the development, construction and sale of various product types (condominiums, single-family and amenities) in three upscale Texas resort properties located on Lake Travis, Lake LBJ and the Gulf Coast of Texas with a market value in excess of $250 Million. Mr. Welsh has maintained his own consulting firm “TRW Construction and Real Estate Services, LLC” that provides valuable real estate services to large real estate equity firms and large international banking clients. Services were provided to these firms to facilitate the disposition of foreclosed upon assets in the Southeast and Southwestern regions of the United States. Mr. Welsh was a Vice President of Investments for Ameriton Properties, an equity arm of Archstone Communities. He was instrumental in building the investment portfolio to over $400 Million of real estate value. Prior to joining Ameriton Properties, Mr. Welsh served as a Vice President of Development for Archstone Communities responsible for the Dallas, Ft. Worth and Kansas City Markets. Mr. Welsh has served at both the project management and Vice President of construction roles with C.F. Jordan and The Weitz Company, two of the pre-eminent general contractors in the United States.

Mr. Welsh received a Bachelor of General Science from the University of Iowa.

Jason D. Hauck

Development Associate

North Texas


Jason Hauck serves as Trinsic Residential Group’s senior development analyst. He is responsible for financial underwriting, market research, and assisting in the development and construction processes.

Prior to joining Trinsic, Mr. Hauck served as a commercial real estate credit analyst for Bank of Texas, a division of BOK Financial Corporation. While there, Mr. Hauck was responsible for underwriting commercial real estate loan opportunities in multifamily, retail, industrial and office product sectors. In addition, Mr. Hauck assisted with business development and was a graduate of the Bank’s intensive credit training program.

Mr. Hauck holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University – M.J. Neeley School of Business, where he graduated Cum Laude. While attending TCU, Mr. Hauck served as captain of the Swim Team and was named to the Academic All-Mountain West Team.

Gregory A. Jones

Managing Director


Greg Jones oversees all capital market activities for Trinsic. His primary duties are to source and structure equity and debt transactions for the company.

With over 21 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Jones has completed in excess of $1.5 billion of multi-family, office and retail development and acquisition transactions. Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, Mr. Jones was a partner at Phoenix Property Company responsible for multi-family and commercial development and acquisitions throughout the United States. Prior to joining Phoenix Property Company, Mr. Jones worked with Lincoln Property Company and Trammell Crow Company.

Mr. Jones holds a BBA in Finance from Baylor University.

Jack H. Paauw

Managing Director

Pacific Northwest


Jack Paauw, headquartered in Seattle, is responsible for sourcing and managing new developments in the Pacific Northwest including Washington, Oregon and Northern California.

With over 25 years’ experience in multi-family projects, Mr. Paauw has held leadership roles in the development and construction of over 3,000 apartment, resort condominium, and senior housing units. Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, Mr. Paauw served as a partner at Alliance Residential Company in the Seattle and Portland markets. He has also been VP of Development for Wyndham Worldwide, and was a Partner at Seco Development in Seattle.

Mr. Paauw has degrees in Architecture and Project Management from the University of Washington.

Manuel Martinez

Managing Director

Florida


Manny Martinez oversees the development and acquisition activities in Florida.

With over 15 years’ experience in real estate, he has developed over $1.2 billion in assets, including flagship luxury rental and condominium communities, as well as 100,000 Sq. Ft. of commercial space in mixed-use and standalone developments. Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, Mr. Martinez served as Vice President for The Altman Companies, and formerly was a Vice President for the Cornerstone Group.

Mr. Martinez holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, and two master degrees, one in City Planning and another in Real Estate Development, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Vincent T. Spencer

Managing Director

South Texas


Vince Spencer oversees the development and acquisition activities in the South Texas markets including Houston, Austin and San Antonio, sourcing and negotiating the purchase of multi-family sites and managing the development and construction process.

Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, Mr. Spencer was formerly with JLB Partners and Alliance Residential Company in similar capacities, processing over 1800 units in excess of $190 million. Mr. Spencer started his real estate career with Century Development, developing privatized student housing, completing over 3,500 beds exceeding $125 million.

Mr. Spencer received a Bachelor in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and his Master of Science in Land Development from Texas A&M University.

Todd Gosselink

Managing Director

Arizona


Mr. Gosselink oversees the development and acquisition activities for the state of Arizona.

Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, Mr. Gosselink served as Managing Director of Development at the PB Bell Companies. He was responsible for sourcing and managing all development activities in the state of Arizona on behalf of Trinsic.

Mr. Gosselink also held various positions within Alliance Residential Company. His tenure there culminated as the Managing Director of National Investments and Acquisitions. He has been involved with the development of more than 1,500 apartments representing more than $200 million in communities throughout Arizona and New Mexico. He has acquired more than $110 million of apartments spanning Texas, Virginia, New Mexico, and California.

Mr. Gosselink received his BS in Commerce from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he concentrated in real estate finance.
