Chairman and CEO
Brian Tusa
Brian Tusa is one of the Trinsic founders serves as the Chairman and CEO. He directs the investment and growth strategy for the company, as well as its development and acquisition activities.
With more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, Brian has been involved in more than $1.6 billion in development, acquisition and financing of institutional quality multifamily properties. He has helped drive Trinsic’s growth to 4,000+ units in various stages of production.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Brian was the Managing Director for Alliance Residential, overseeing the development and acquisition for North Texas. He also served as the Portfolio Manager for Alliance Residential Fund I, a $200 million multifamily investment fund, from 2008 – 2010.
Brian holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he was a licensed CPA. He is actively involved in several charities in the Dallas area.

Steve Reynolds
Steve Reynolds joined Trinsic in 2017 as President and is involved in many facets of the business including investment management, capital markets, platform growth opportunities and sourcing new development opportunities.
Steve is a senior level real estate executive that has more than 25 years of industry experience. He has proven capabilities in financial reporting and analysis, portfolio administration, due diligence, acquisitions, underwriting, loan processing, leasing, and asset and property management. During his career he has acquired in excess of $2 billion of commercial real estate properties, managed a portfolio in excess of $1 billion in equity investments for Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall funds, and asset managed more than $1.5 billion in commercial real estate debt, workout and equity transactions.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Steve was Managing Director of Acquisitions for Transwestern Investment Group overseeing the firm’s acquisition activities including investment strategy, sourcing, due diligence and market/asset selection. Before joining TIG, Steve was Senior Vice President and Director of Acquisitions for Hunt Realty Investments where he was responsible for leading the development and implementation of all new business activities. In this capacity he played a key role in the formation of an investment partnership with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Within this venture he was responsible for sourcing and managing the successful launch of four operating platforms, one of which is Trinsic. Combined, these platforms were responsible for developing more than 6,000 multifamily and senior living units and industrial and retail developments containing 6.3 million square feet representing more than $1.5 billion in gross asset value.
Steve received his BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University. He is a member of The Real Estate Council and NAIOP.
Chief Operating Officer
Joe Barrett
Joe Barrett is one of the Trinsic founders and serves as Chief Operating Officer. He oversees operations and asset management and assists in sourcing new business opportunities.
Joe has spent more than 25 years in the real estate industry and has been involved in every facet of multifamily development activity. His transactional experience includes the development of over 5,000 apartment units and $500 million of equity and permanent debt financing, construction loans and asset sales.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Joe served as the COO of Commercial Real Estate Investments for Archon Group, a Goldman Sachs company, Managing Partner of North American Properties and its predecessor Ewing Properties, and Chief Financial Officer of Lincoln Property Company.
Joe holds a B.A. in Economics from Austin College and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Managing Director — Capital Markets
Matt Lewis
Matt Lewis is a Managing Director and oversees all capital markets activities for Trinsic. In this role, he sources and structures equity and debt transactions for the company.
Matt has completed more than $3.8 billion in multifamily acquisition and development transactions. Prior to joining Trinsic, Matt was an acquisitions partner for Palatine Capital Partners, and a director of acquisitions for L&B Realty Advisors. He has also worked with Lincoln Property Company, Rivendell Development and Presidio Realty.
Matt holds a B.A. in Economics from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of The Real Estate Council, TREC’s Associate Leadership Council Alumni Association, the Urban Land Institute and National Multi Housing Council.
Managing Director — Asset Management
Sheri Thomas
Sheri Thomas joined Trinsic in February of 2014 and is the Managing Director of Asset Management. She oversees third-party property management relationships, as well as monitors and evaluates financials and operating results to maximize values. Sheri directs all asset management activities for Lease-Ups and Affordable properties, and assists the development partners in underwriting, budgeting, design/development and managing lender/partner relationships.
She has more than 40 years of experience in the multifamily industry. Prior to joining Trinsic, she was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Alliance Residential where her responsibilities included overseeing operations for 69 properties (totaling more than 17,000 units), as well as business development for all major markets in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Carolinas, Florida, Atlanta and Washington D.C. She also has a background in the development of high-end lease-ups and dispositions.
Sheri attended Michigan State University and holds her CPM® and CAPS designations. She is a member of the Institute for Real Estate Management, the Houston Apartment Association and the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas.

Southwest Team
Managing Director – Southwest Region
Todd Gosselink
Todd Gosselink joined Trinsic in 2013 and is responsible for the development and acquisition activities for the Southwest. Prior to joining Trinsic, he was Managing Director of National Investments and Acquisitions at Alliance Residential where he was responsible for identifying, underwriting, repositioning and harvesting investments in apartment communities, fractured condominiums and raw land. At Alliance, Todd developed more than 1,500 apartments representing an investment of more than $200 million in communities throughout Arizona and New Mexico. In addition to his development experience, he coordinated the acquisition of more than $110 million in apartment properties in Texas, Virginia, New Mexico and California.
Since joining Trinsic, Todd has been involved in the development of more than 2,000 apartments totaling $690 million. The Arizona division of Trinsic has achieved state record exit pricing per unit on two separate occasions with The Standard at Valley Ho (2017) in Old Town Scottsdale and Aura Watermark (2021) on the north shore of Tempe Town Lake.
Todd received his B.S. in Commerce from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in real estate finance.
Mid-Atlantic Team
Managing Director – Mid-Atlantic Region
Brandon Henry
Brandon Henry joined Trinsic in 2020 and is responsible for the firm’s development and acquisition activities in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to joining Trinsic, Brandon was with Lerner Enterprises, Greystar Real Estate Partners, and Alliance Residential in similar capacities, and worked on more than 4,400 units with a total market capitalization of $1.25 billion. Brandon began his career at Trammell Crow Company in Boston.
Brandon received a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
VP of Construction - Mid-Atlantic Region
Rob Rodgers
Rob Rodgers joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2022 and is responsible for leading the firm’s construction activities in the Mid-Atlantic region. Rob has more than 24 years of experience in the design and construction of multifamily and commercial projects throughout the East Coast.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Rob worked for Bozzuto Construction, HITT Contracting, MG2 Architecture, and The Clark Construction Group. During this time, he directly managed or held an executive role in the construction of more than 3,700 multifamily units, in addition to various commercial projects totaling approximately $960 million.
Rob holds a B.A. in Architecture and M.S. in Construction Management from Virginia Tech.
Carolinas Team
Director - Charlotte, NC
Owen Burkard
Owen joined Trinsic in 2021 and is responsible for all acquisition and development opportunities in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding area.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Owen worked for Wood Partners where he supported the Raleigh-Durham development team. He has been directly involved in the development of over $700M of multifamily transactions in the Carolinas.
Owen was raised in Charlotte, NC and received a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate from the University of South Carolina.
Director - Raleigh/Durham
Justin Brown
Justin Brown joined Trinsic in 2022 and is involved in the entitlement, permitting, and construction administration of multiple mixed-use and apartment developments throughout the Triangle. Over the course of his career, he has been an integral part of development teams from due diligence, through entitlements, and ultimately the full build-out of complex suburban and urban apartment developments.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Justin was an Associate Vice President for Pennoni Associates, a consulting engineering firm.
Justin is a licensed engineer in North Carolina, Virginia and New York and received his education from the State University of New York.
Florida Team
Managing Director – Florida
Chad Bradshaw
Chad Bradshaw joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2022 as the Managing Director of Florida, with oversight of the company’s development and acquisition investment activities throughout Florida.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Chad was a partner at The Retail Connection within its investment division, where he developed ground up assets and redeveloped and acquired income-in-place retail, entertainment and mixed-use assets. During his time with Retail Connection, Chad directed, lead or partnered in over five million square feet of asset investments with a total market capitalization in excess of $1.7 billion.
Chad earned dual B.S.B.A. degrees in Finance and Real Estate and a minor in Economics from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. He holds a Texas Real Estate license and is a graduate of The Real Estate Council’s Associate Leadership Council.
Director – Southeast Florida
Jacob Shotmeyer
Jacob Shotmeyer serves as Director of Southeast Florida and is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, entitling, construction and disposition of multifamily projects in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach metro areas. Jacob initially joined Trinsic as a Development Manager, assisting with acquisition and development activities in the South Florida market. Prior to joining Trinsic, Jacob served a family office, sourcing acquisition and development opportunities for various asset classes; prior to that he worked as a biomedical engineer at Stryker.
Jacob is on the Board of the Babson Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship, he is an Eagle Scout and holds three patents in medical devices and IoT home automation. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from Babson College.
VP of Construction - Florida
James Lent
James Lent joined Trinsic in 2021 and has more than 30 years of construction management, company development and executive leadership experience.
His in-depth construction knowledge pertains to multifamily, commercial, educational, retail, mid-rise and high-rise developments, with many projects based in the New York metro and New England areas.
Prior to joining Trinsic, James served as Director of Construction for AMEC and Vice President for DAR, with a portfolio totaling more than 14 million square feet of commercial construction, more than 5,000 apartments and approximately $1.8 billion in construction value.
James earned a B.A. from West Virginia University.
Central Team
Managing Director – Central Region
Adam Brown
Adam joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2011 as one of the company’s original partners and now oversees the company’s development and acquisition activities throughout Texas and Colorado. As a member of the Trinsic team, he has developed over 12,000 units with a total market capitalization of approximately $2.2 billion.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Adam was with Greystar Real Estate Partners and Alliance Residential in similar capacities, and worked on over 4,000 units with a total market capitalization in excess of $400 million during that time.
Adam received a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from Baylor University, and an M.S. in Land Development from Texas A&M University. He holds a Texas Real Estate Broker License, is an active member of The Real Estate Council and a 2011 graduate of The Real Estate Council’s Associate Leadership Council.
Director of Development - Central Region
Kurt Robertson
Kurt Robertson joined Trinsic in 2021 and works with the development teams in expanding markets. He provides technical assistance in development of design standards, site assessment, building and unit design, and consulting team selection. He maintains direct responsibilities for pre-development activities in Central Texas. Kurt has more than 30 years of experience in the development industry including 22 years working directly with multifamily projects. Prior to joining Trinsic, he fulfilled a similar role with Alliance Residential for 18 years, participating in the development of more than 40 individual projects throughout Texas. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Louisiana State University and is a registered architect.
Director — North Texas
Connor Osburn
Connor Osburn joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2022 and oversees the company’s development and acquisition activities in North Texas.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Connor worked at Phoenix Capital Holdings where he invested joint venture equity with multifamily developers across the country. Previously, Connor led acquisitions at Jefferson Apartment Group in Washington, DC where he sourced, capitalized, and closed multifamily investments in east coast markets. Connor began his career at 29th Street Capital in Chicago, IL acquiring value-add multifamily.
Connor received a B.B.A in Finance and Accounting from Abilene Christian University.
Director - Central and South Texas
Max Godvin
Max Godvin began his career with Trinsic assisting in the acquisition, disposition, asset management and sourcing of debt and equity for all of Trinsic’s ground-up multifamily projects across the country. He recently relocated to Austin and is now responsible for development and acquisition activities for Central and South Texas.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Max worked at HFF and Berkshire Group where he was responsible for sourcing debt, equity, and development opportunities for multifamily investments across the South and West regions. He has been involved in closing more than $1 billion of multifamily transactions in his career. Max received a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.
Director - Colorado
Allison Jones
Allison Jones joined Trinsic in the Pacific Northwest where she was involved in the sourcing, underwriting, entitling, construction and disposition of several ground-up multifamily projects in the Seattle and Portland MSA’s. A native of Colorado, Allison recently relocated to Denver and is now focused on building value for Trinsic’s partners by delivering high-quality, suburban and urban projects in the greater Denver metro area.
Allison received a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business and later earned her graduate degree from the University of Texas McCombs MBA program. Allison is a member of the University of Texas Real Estate Finance & Investment Center, the University of Colorado Real Estate Center, and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
VP of Construction - North and Central Texas
Kenny Hammons
Kenny Hammons joined Trinsic in 2012 and is responsible for overseeing all construction activities in the Central Texas Region.
As a member of Trinsic’s Central Texas team, Kenny has been instrumental in assembling and managing the Central Texas field staff while also serving as a construction resource for the development team.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Kenny worked for Northwest Construction, BBL Builders and ICI Construction, accumulating more than 22 years of experience in the multifamily industry. During this span, he performed varying roles, including the construction of 5,000+ units with a combined value of approximately $500 million.
Kenny has served as a board member for the Multifamily Builder’s Council since 2016. He received his education from Northeast Missouri State University located in Kirksville, MO.
VP of Construction - South Texas
Steven Danna
Steven Danna joined Trinsic in 2014 and oversees all construction activities for the South Texas Region. He has been active in all aspects of construction management for more than 22 years and is involved in a broad spectrum of projects, including multifamily, office, municipal, retail, hospitality and medical facilities. At Trinsic, he has managed projects totaling 1,800 units with a construction value of approximately $200 million.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Steven worked for Alliance Residential, C.F. Jordan and Ratcliff Constructors managing projects totaling 2,400 units as well as numerous commercial projects with a combined total value of approximately $300 million.
Steven earned a B.S. in Construction Science from Texas A&M University in College Station.
